1970 UK *BOX SET* (PXS 1)
**100% COMPLETE WITH APPLE PROMO POSTER**
This rare UK box set designed by John Kosh is 100% complete with: outer slip-case, two inner trays, LP and softback book showing candid colour and black and white pictures by Ethan A. Russell of The Beatles during filming and recording & an Apple Records promotional poster.
The 'PXS 1' catalogue number did not appear anywhere on the package, it was just used for ordering purposes.
This is an totally 'un-restored' example. No black ink or adhesive substance has been applied to any component.
Outer Slipcase: EXCELLENT MINUS
Clean and undamaged example displaying just light storage & handling wear with no significant or major faults.
The laminate is clean & intact both sides with clean, unscuffed upper & lower edges.
There is some minor wear to the edges with a tiny speck of missing paper on the front lower left edge, but no tears or other damage.
Outer: EXCELLENT MINUS
Clean & in-shape with just a few light creases to the flaps & light rubbing to the edges & corners.
Ther rear is clean & black with a just few faint fingermarks but no other wear.
Inner: EXCELLENT MINUS
Completely intact & in-shape, with just the hard to avoid small stress tears to the corners where the book sat.
All edges are clean, sharp and square with just a few light creases but no major damage.
Book: EXCELLENT
High-gloss cover with just a single light crease to the front cover, but no loose, damaged or missing pages.
The spine is clean, 'uncracked' & totally undamaged. This copy has printed credits on page 8.
LP
This disc is on the dark green Apple label: PCS 7096 with the 'Apple Records..' rim text.
Housed in a fully laminated, 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with the RED Apple logo on the reverse.
Comlete with original crisp white 'Patent No. 1,125,555' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 773-2U & YEX 774-2U
Stamper numbers: 1,6/LA & 6/TL
EXCELLENT PLUS
Visual: EXCELLENT
Clean & glossy surfaces bearing a few light non-feelable surface lines & wispy paper hairlines directly under a halogen desk lamp.
Quality, sharp-edged vinyl which lies 100% flat on both sides with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT MINUS
A carefully played copy with no groovewear distortion on any track.
There are a few light ticks at the end of 'Two Of Us' & touch of very light background during some quiet passages but no major audible faults.
Both run-ins & all bands are extremely quietly without any significant interference.
Cover: EXCELLENT MINUS
Clean & glossy example with just a few light laminate wrinkles & storagewear but no heavy creasing or major wear.
The corners are clean & unbumped and the opening edges display just a hint or wear but no tears or feathering.
There is a tiny (1mm) spot of missing paper to the spine but it and the seams are otherwise undamaged.
Poster: EXCELLENT
Factory folded with light handling wear but no major faults.
