'LET IT BE'
1970 UK *BOX SET* (PXS 1)
** 100% COMPLETE**
This rare UK box set, designed by John Kosh, comes entirely complete with: outer slip-case, both inner trays, LP and exclusive softback book showing candid colour and black and white pictures by Ethan A. Russell of The Beatles during the filming and recording.
The PXS 1 catalogue number did not appear anywhere on the package and was just used for ordering purposes.
I have not attempted any repairs and no black ink has been applied anywhere.
Outer Slipcase: EXCELLENT MINUS
Strong and clean and still retaining its high gloss laminate, the case displays some light handling and storage wear but no major faults.
There are some small creases to the laminate and very slight wear to the lower corners but no tears or feathering or missing paper.
The rear shows a few light scratches to the laminate and a minor crease along the bottom edge s but no splits, tears or major damage.
The white areas along the upper and lower edges of the slipcase are light reflections and not tears or missing paper.
Trays
Outer: VERY GOOD PLUS
Very strong and clean with just a few light creases and slight storage and handling wear to the edges and corners but no tears or missing paper.
Inner: EXCELLENT
An excellent example considering the fragility of this component.
Only the lower corners bear minor tears where the book corners sat, but they have not split right through. The upper corners are perfect and undamaged.
The tray retains its four panels and shows no other damage.
Book: EXCELLENT PLUS
Super complete copy with a firm 'uncracked' spine with NO loose or missing pages.
There are a few tiny and light 'thumbnail' creases to the front and rear covers but no tears or missing paper.
This copy has the credits printed on page 8.
LP
A first pressing on the dark green Apple label PCS 7096 with the 'Apple Records..' rim text.
This copy has a rarely seen 'KT' tax/price code visible on the side one label.
Housed in a fully laminated, thin card 'Garrod & Lofthouse' cover with the RED Apple logo on the rear.
Complete with original white 'Patent No 1,125,555,' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 773-2U & YEX 774-2U
Stamper numbers: 1/OM & 6/OO

Visual: EXCELLENT
Very high gloss surfaces bearing just one light hairline mark on side 1 and a some light sleeve storage marks on side 2, but no scuffs, deep marks or scratches.
100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
Plays superbly with no audible faults and of course it's 100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS
Very clean and retaining its high gloss laminate this great cover bears just a few minor creases but nothing above extremely light wear.
The corners opening are all sharp, clean and unworn and the spine and all seams are strong, tight and unsplit.
