Description
THE BEATLES - 'LET IT BE'
Despite mono being a dead format by the time of this album's release in May 1970, EMI clung onto it and released this - the only official mono version of this album.
The mono mix on this tape is a 'fold-down' of the stereo version but was issued with a true mono catalogue number: TA-PMC 7096
The 4" clear plastic 'EMITAPE' labelled reel carries a twin-track mono tape which runs at 3 3/4 ips.
The only difference to the LP version is that instead of ending side 1, 'Maggie May' opens side 2.
The tape has white & red leaders and is housed within its original clear plastic jewel case with colour inlay card & original factory packing slip.
CONDITION
Tape: NEAR MINT
Both spool & tape are in pristine condition and show no signs of damage or wear. I have played the tape through in its entirety and can report that it is free from any edits, breaks or wrinkles. The sound is full and clear throughout with no drop-outs or missing audio.
Inlay: NEAR MINT
Clean & unworn with excellent fold and an uncrushed spine. Apart from a small bend towards the leading edge near the clap, this is 'as new'.
Box: EXCELLENT
Clean & clear with some light storage scuffing but no cracks or missing pieces.
