THE BEATLES - 'LOVE ME DO/P.S. I LOVE YOU'


This early 1st UK pressing of their debut 45 dates from initial release in October 1962 and is on the red & silver Parlophone label: 45-R 4949

A genuine red & white EMI 'Factory Sample - Not For Sale' sticker is adhered to the 'Love Me Do' label.

Both labels bear the 'Ardmore & Beechwood' publishing credit and the 'Made in Gt. Britain' text.

'ZT' purchase tax codes are visible in the centre of the 'Love Me Do' label and in both run-outs.


Matrix numbers: 7XCE 17144-1N & 7XCE 17145-1N

Stamper codes: 1/T & 1/H


The disc is housed in an original 'beach-striped' Parlophone company cover.

Labels: EXCELLENT +

Both are clean & unblemished with just a small collection of spindle trails around the side 2 centre hole only but absolutely no wear to the actual centre holes themselves.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Extremely clean & deep-gloss playing surfaces which in strong daylight bear just one or two harmless light marks consistent with the few careful plays this copy has received. Close inspection directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp fails to reveal anything more than a handful of harmless hairlines and wispy sleeve removal marks.

Play: VERY GOOD +

Warm and clear sound from both songs with just a touch of faint background but no groove/playwear, clicks, pops or any other such distraction.

Cover: VERY GOOD

General age/storagewear but no major faults.
