1967 UK 1st PRESS *MONO* EP
This NEAR MINT 1967 UK 1st MONO double EP set is a 1st pressing on solid centred black & silver Parlophone labels: MMT 1
All labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'Gramophone Co. Ltd..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible in centres of the side 2 & 3 labels.
Housed in a outer laminated, storybook picture cover with blue centre lyric sheet.
The set is complete with both its original white inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: 7XCE 18435-1, 4-1 & 6-1, 7-2
Stamper codes: 3/M, 10/LP & 3/GP, 4/RM
CONDITION
Labels: Disc 1: NEAR MINT Disc 2: MINT
Both labels on disc 1 have single light spindle trail whilst there are none on either of disc 2.
Both discs visual: EXCELLENT +
The surfaces of both discs are immaculate and totally 'as new' both in strong daylight AND directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp. All are free from any form of surface marks or wear and free from even any wispy paper hairlines. I would have graded NM but both discs lie slightly unevenly on the turntable when playing - however this does not affect sound or play.
Play: Disc 1: NEAR MINT Disc 2: EXCELLENT +
Disc 1 has received only a single careful play and I doubt whether the second disc has been played at all. All tracks play cleanly and clearly with no traces of any groove/playwear whatsoever. In fact, apart from some light ticks on the 'Fool On The Hill', there is nothing else to fault audible on or between any other track.
Cover
EXCELLENT
A clean & vibrant example which retains a high-gloss, undamaged & unscratched laminate front & rear. The only blemish is a 2cm section of wear to the right edge of the front panel and a little rubbing to edge of the rear. All pages of the booklet are clean & undamaged and the 3 centre staples are intact & unrusted.
Inner-sleeves
EXCELLENT
Both are clean & white with unavoidable light storage wrinkling but no splits, tears or writing.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on an EMT 950 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
- All the photos in this listing have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
- All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
