RARE 1965 UK PARLOPHONE **STEREO** 6TH PRESSING for The Beatles DEBUT UK Album ‘PLEASE PLEASE ME’.
The 12" Stereo Vinyl LP is of the same Vinyl QUALITY to that of the 1963 release, and is on the traditional BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE Label, with ‘The Gramophone Co Ltd’ label rim and ‘Sold in UK….’ label text.
Official side 1 matrix is YEX 94-1 and Side 2 YEX 95-1.
Side 1 stampers are 1/AR and Side 2 stampers are: 1/AR.
The album comes in a white Polythene Lined Bag and is housed in its correct and ORIGINAL Garrod and Lofthouse Front LAMINATED Three flipback sleeve featuring a SMALL ‘stereo’ printed to the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve..
The album plays EXTREMELY WELL through all the tracks, with NO skips or clicks.
Both record labels are in FINE excellent plus condition, CLEAN, UNDAMAGED labels, with only a few light centre spider trails. Side 1 of the Vinyl disc is excellent plus. All that is visible are a couple of light surface hairlines. Side 2 of the Vinyl disc is in VERY RESPECTABLE excellent condition, showing a few more surface hairlines than side 1, but certainly NO deep scratches or scuffs to either side. The inner bag is in FINE, UNDAMAGED condition, just some light creasing. The FRONT Panel of the LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse picture sleeve is in excellent minus condition. CLEAN and BRIGHT, shows a few laminate pinches and a couple of mild corner bumps, but nothing seriious. The spine edge is FIRM and clearly reads ‘Please Please Me, The Beatles’. The reverse panel of the sleeve is UNDAMAGED with just some handling marks and mild record indentation. The original price of ‘32/6’ is handwritten in ink just above the catalogue number at the top of the sleeve.
