This rare 1964 UK 5th STEREO pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3042
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Parlophone Co..' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.
Housed in a thick card stock, front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed 'small' stereo logo cover.
Complete with its original 'Use Emitex' rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1
Stamper numbers: 1/RL & 1/RA
Disc weight: 165g
Labels: NEAR MINT
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both surfaces are bright & clean retaining their deep gloss 'as new' finish and appear unmarked in direct daylight with no scratches or blemishes to either side.
Careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals some wispy inner-sleeve removal paper hairlines, but no further marks or any other visible wear.
A very heavy pressing which lies 100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
This copy has received just some careful light play on good equipment and happily all tracks play without any background noise or groovewear distortion on any track.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently and apart from 5 faint ticks on the fade-out of 'Baby It's You', there is no further evidence of audible wear or faults elsewhere.
A great sounding example from the first 'mother' stampers.
Cover: NEAR MINT
A real top-class example which retains a perfect, unscratched high-gloss front laminate with no 'thumbnails, ringwear or any other signs of wear.
Apart from some light shelfwear to the two lower corners, all are in great shape, as are both opening edges which appear untouched.
The rear panel is as good as the day it left the shop - pristine clean and white with no discolouration or handling marks.
The spine is clean and square and both seams and all flipbacks are clean, strong & totally undamaged.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Light creasing from storage but clean & crisp with no tears or splits.
