THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
This extremely rare stereo pressing dates from c.1967 on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 3042
There is an error on the side 2 label where the matrix code above the date in the 9 o'clock position is printed as 'YEA' instead of 'YEX'
Both labels have the 'Sold in UK...' text with 'The Gramophone Co...' worded rims.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 2 label.
Matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 95-1
Stamper codes: 2/AL & 1/AA
Vinyl weight: 162g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a small front 'stereo' indicator.
Complete with its original black & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: NEAR MINT
A very clean pair with no more that three or four light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Both playing surfaces retain all of their deep-gloss shine with one or two very light surface marks on each side, but nothing we would call a scratch.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
Barely played with flawless & wonderful sound quality throughout.
Cover: NEAR MINT
A 1st-class example with an unworn, mirror-like glossy front panel bearing just a couple of light spine wrinkles but no 'thumbnails' or creasing.
Apart from a minor bruise to the upper left all corners & both opening edges are in perfect condition.
The exposed rear panel is pristine white and 'as new' with no damage or wear to the flipbacks.
Both seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine unworn and fully worded.
Inner-sleeve: NEAR MINT
