THE BEATLES - 'PLEASE, PLEASE ME'
1963 UK 4th MONO ISSUE LP
***DECCA PRESSING**
Pressed in very limited quantities by Decca Records (in mono only) at the request of EMI in early 1964 these pressing are chiefly identifiable by the distinctive 'groove' around the label. Although pressed on slightly thinner vinyl than their EMI counterparts, they retain top Decca sound quality.
This rare 1963 DECCA mono 4th pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1202
The labels bear the distinctive Decca deep 'groove' around them.
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims and the 'Recording First Published..' text.
There is no tax/price code is visible on either label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback Garrod & Lofthouse 'large' mono logo cover.
Complete with original poly-lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT MINUS
Slight 'touch-up' to the centre holes by the previous owner but no marks, writing or missing paper.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Clean surfaces bearing some light surface marks and the occaisional light scratch but major, deep or 'feelable' marks.
100% flat on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: VERY GOOD PLUS
Although played many times the sound is loud and clear sound with just light intermittant wear but no heavy groovewear distortion or major audible faults.
Both run-ins and all bands play quietly with just the occaisional soft 'tick' but there are no loud clicks, pops, hiss, jumps or repeats anywhere.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A fine example of this fragile, early G&L cover which bears just very light wear only.
The front image is rich and colourful and the high-gloss laminate bears just a few light creases but no major wear.
All four corners are sharp and clean and the opening edges bear just extremely light wear but no tears or 'feathering'.
The rear panel is bright and clean with some minor discolouration toward the mouth but no marks or writing.
The rear flipbacks, spine and seams are intact, unsplit and undamaged.
