1963 UK 4th PRESSING **STEREO** LP
RARE 'G & L' LARGE STEREO COVER
This rare 1963 STEREO pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3042
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims
Just the 'K' tax/price code is visible on the centre of the side 2 label.
Housed in a rare front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse cover bearing the large 'STEREO' logo.
Complete with its original polylined 'Use Emitex inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: YEX 94-1 & YEX 94-1
Stamper numbers: 1/GO & 1/T
Labels: EXCELLENT PLUS
Clean and bright with just a few spindle trails but no touch-up anywhere.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Very clean surfaces with a deep gloss shine undulled by groovewear or overplay.
Both sides bear just a few feint 'fingernail' lines but no deep or feelable marks or scratches.
Good thick heavy vinyl, 100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
Wonderful loud and clear sound quality with no groovewear distortion in either channel.
Just a few soft 'ticks' between tracks 3 & 4 on side 2 but otherwise both run-ins and all bands play silently and without fault.
The sound quality is loud, warm and clear with no distortion, crackle, pops, clicks, jumps, repeats or any other audible faults.
Hard to fine a better sounding copy.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A clean and strong example of this rare cover which bears just some light handling and storage wear.
The front panel retains its high-gloss, unscratched laminate which bears just a few small 'thumbnails' but no other creases or damage.
The corners display a hint of storagewear but are undamaged. The front and rear opening edges are clean, sharp and unworn with no feathering or tears.
The rear panel shows some minor age discolouration and a slight rub to the left of the text but is otherwise clean with no major marks or any writing.
All the delicate flipbacks are all present and intact with no missing paper. The spine is clean and readable and all seams are strong, intact and unsplit.
