Description

A hard to find Vancouver Beatles' Press Conference promotional flexi-disc issued in 1964 by an independent Canadian west coast record store. This promotional flexi was limited to a few thousand copies with the majority not surviving the next 52 years. The collectabillity of this item is in its rarity and its provenance as an artifact of early Beatlemania in North America.    
Condition - see photographs  

  • The flexi-disc is still attached to the backing picture by the two original rivets on the left side.
  • The picture side of the paper remains bright and shows only minor signs of aging. 
  • There is no writing on the photo backing. No tears except for a very minor paper split around one rivet. 
  • The backing has one stain or aging mark on the top left corner
  • The plain white backing shows minor signs of aging - see photograph
  • The spindle holes on the flexi and photo backing sheet are tight.
  • The soft flexi-disc surface has a few marks.   
  • With the tone arm at 2.0 grams the flexi plays right through. With the tone arm at 1.5 grams there is one repeat skip
  • Like most flexi discs there is some some crackle and occasional pop.   
  • Some creasing on the non-playing area of the flexi, top right corner - see photograph.
  • The rivets are intact.
  • The flexi surface retains much of the original shine.
