PARLOGRAM AUCTIONS presents...
THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'
This EXCELLENT UK pressing dates from late-1966 release on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 7009
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK...' text and have 'The Gramophone Co...' rims.
Track 4 on the side 2 label is spelt as 'Doctor Robert'.
Matrices: YEX 605-1 & YEX 606-1
Stamper codes: 3/HM & 4/PA
Vinyl weight: 145g
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover.
Complete with its original black & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.
CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT +
A superb set with no more than a small handful of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT -
Both playing surfaces are clean & glossy with the only visual blemishes in strong daylight being a couple of non-feelable hairlines on side 2, along with a few careless fingernail scuffs. Closer inspection beneath halogen light reveals only some harmless wispy paper hairlines and a sparkling rainbow shine.
Audio: EXCELLENT +
Barely played, this disc sounds clean & clear throughout with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion in either channel on any track. Definitely a keeper.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A strong & clean example with mild toning to the white areas but the laminate is clean & unscratched with just two 'thumbnail' and a few small spine wrinkles. All corners are unbumped and both opening edges are sharp and clean. The rear panel is clean & black with no writing or missing paper. All flipbacks are in fully intact, as are both seams and the slightly yellowed, but fully worded spine.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Light storage wrinkles only.
