THE BEATLES - 'REVOLVER'
1966 UK '2nd' PRESS *MONO* LP
**NEAR MINT**
This beautiful NEAR MINT 1966 UK 2nd mono pressing is on the black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 7009
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & 'Gramophone Co..' rims.
The side 2 label bears the incorrect 'Dr Robert' spelling.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the side 2 label.
Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover.
Complete with its original white 'Patents Applied For' inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-2
Stamper numbers: 4/GML & 2/GAH
Just a single, tiny spindle trail on label 2 only.
Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Superb deep gloss shines to both surfaces which bear just the faintest inner-sleeve removal marks in strong daylight.
There are two faint 'smudge' marks which are present in the vinyl material itself which do not affect sound in any way.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp just a few light paper hairlines but no further marks or wear.
Audio: NEAR MINT
There is no doubt that this copy has been played just once or twice at most.
Careful listening at volume revealed no trace of any groovewear distortion or background crackle on any track.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently and there are no clicks, pops or indeed any audible wear anwhere on the outstanding copy.
Hard to find another which sounds as good.
Cover: NEAR MINT
An incredible example which looks exactly the same as it did when it left the factory 41 years ago.
Pristine white with no yellowing and retaining an unscratched, high-gloss front laminate which bears just a single, small 'thumbnail' crease.
There is a minor bruise to the lower left corner but all others and both opening edges are in perfect condition.
The rear panel is clean & deep black with no ringwear, rubbing or other wear whatsoever.
All flipbacks & both seams are in perfect condition.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT PLUS
Crisp, clean & white with no splits, tears or writing.
