Description

Welcome to my auctions....check out the other vinyl listed, more added each week and follow me so you don't miss out.

My dad was a private collector, he collected thousands and thousands of records from 1950's to early 2000's, many are rarities, obscurities and some are unique, I am not a dealer, just selling the collection now he is unable to do so himself.

You can expect great service/fast dispatch/super strong packaging/combined shipping and honest, no nonsense gradings BUT Please read descriptions.

The Beatles - Rubber Soul - Yellow and Black Parlophone labels - Stereo - Early 1st UK Pressing – EMITEX Inner – Back In the 1960's when my dad purchased this brand new from the shop a mistake was made and he ended up with a Mono Sleeve, so the sleeve is a great example but a mono sleeve.

1965

YEX 178-2  2 GT
YEX 179-2  1 L   (KT tax code around spindle)

Both sides have no obvious marks, Side 1 has No marks at all, Side 2 has a couple of small and faint whispy sleeve removal traces and a faint groove mark, apart from that there may be the odd extremely light whispy sleeve removal trace under strong artificial light but I can't see any. It has a wonderful shine, Stunning visual condition for a 1st pressing of this age.

PLAYTESTED and it plays great with strong and vibrant audio, lies flat on the turntable. Some light static in the quiet parts and it's been stored for 40+ years so will benefit from a proper clean which should reduce the background static. It's a wonderful listen.

Both Labels have slight signs of spiders legs under strong light. Very clean labels, no wear or damage. Stunning

Front of sleeve is flat and clean with a couple of creases around edges and a faint crease top right and one from opening edge, very light rubbing near top on front. No wear to top edge or bottom edge. Opening edge has no wear but is slightly faded along unlamnated edge. Top right corner has very slight wear, other Corners have no wear. Spine is Fully readable and crisp, Back is really clean, a brown selotape residue line along opening edge, other than that it has no damage - Ernest J Day Mono sleeve. Not perfect but a Great Example of this rare sleeve.

Original EMITEX Inner is flat with some discolouration and a little creasing but no splits.

A Mega Rare and Very hard to find LP In Great Condition.

I will describe any flaws such as wear to sleeves, scuffs, marks or scratches to vinyl and describe them honestly, if you expect a better condition than I have listed then you need to learn to read. I will grade based on visual inspection under artificial light. PLEASE remember this is Vinyl...even brand new vinyl can have clicks and pops...that's part of its charm...if you want perfect audio without background noise...how about CD's or MP3's?
