Description
The Beatles "Rubber Soul" Loud Cut
This is the original first pressing from the first day of release - the THIRD DAY IN DECEMBER 1965
When Rubber Soul went on sale on 3rd December 1965, Parlophone immediately discovered they had made a big mistake on the MONO album. The track mix chosen for side 1 did not play correctly on the cheap record players of the day (peculiar dynamics on loud sections). This became known as the LOUD CUT mix XEX579-1. This was instantly withdrawn, production was halted and it was replaced by a new mix 579-4.
This was soon followed by a change also to the mix on side 2 from XEX580-1 to XEX580-4.
-------------------------------
This rare LP from that very first day of sale has the original -1 mix on both sides of the LP.

*The rear of the cover is also completely undamaged, the non-laminated and unprotected paper aged to slightly off-white.
Inner Sleeve
* Excellent original Emitex inner sleeve.
* Semi-opaque window appropriate to 1965 sales.
* In great condition, just some light creasing.
* No splits on the seams.
LP Visual and Play
Both sides have been played on a high quality desk with new stylus and individually rated both visually and for play quality.
Both sides played through extremely well, with no ticks, no clicks, no hops, no sticks, no background crackles on any track. Side 1 - visually rated EX, a light surface scuff which has no effect at all on play. Play was an outstanding Nearmint- no flaws heard anywhere.Side 2 - visually rated EX two light surface marks at track1 and track5/7 which has no effect at all on play. Play was an outstanding Nearmint- if anything an even crisper and clearer sound than side 1.
