The Beatles
This was The Beatles' 6th UK official LP release and was the first to include all four as composers and no cover versions.
This album was the first not to have the 'The Beatles' name on the cover. The cover was shot in John Lennon's garden in Weybridge by Robert Freeman.
This is a rare MONO version. The difference between the mono and stereo versions is that in 'What Goes On' the mono version is missing some of the lead guitar at the end, just before the final chord. The full lead guitar part is heard in the stereo version.
1st Pressings:
- Standard yellow block Parlophone label on black (only used until 1969)
- The 'All rights of the manufacturer' message round the edge of the label starts with 'The Gramaphone Co. Ltd.'
- The label DOES have 'Sold in the UK' statement

Condition
The cover is showing signs of age and some damage - i.e. some wear and tear on the edges, corners and sides, marks on the cover and I've tried to show all of this in the pictures. The cover is open at the bottom in places and there is a small amount of hand-writing on the back cover - again, as pictured.
Despite the wear to the cover, the record itself is in near perfect condition. I have played the album through on both sides and no faults in the playback are detectable. Sound quality is very good.
There is no inner sleeve.
