THE BEATLES - 'SGT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
1969 UK 'ONE EMI BOX' *MONO* PRESSING
**'HYBRID MONO/STEREO COVER & APPLE PROMO POSTER**
This extremely rare and best sounding 1969 mono pressing was only one of 3 titles to be pressed with '1 EMI Box' labels.
Just a few hundred were manufactured and they sold poorly, making it one of the rarest UK 'Sgt Pepper' commercial pressings.
It is housed in the rare mono/stereo 'hybrid' cover showing both mono & stereo catalogue numbers in the upper right of the rear panel.
This copy comes complete with its original promotional Apple catalogue poster.
An extremely rare combination.
This extremely rare 1969 UK mono pressing is on the UK 'One EMI Box' MONO label: PMC 7027
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims
There is no tax/price code visible on either label.
Both sides play in mono
The cover is a fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold with mono & stereo catalogue numbers printed on the rear panel.
Complete with original plain white 'Patents Nos.' inner-sleeve.
This copy also comes with its original full colour promotional 'Apple Catalogue' poster measuring 42cms x 24.5cms.

Clean, bright & glossy in natural light bearing just a single, long light fingernail scuff on side 1, but no other significant marks.
Close & careful inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals a few faint inner-sleeve removal lines but no further wear.
100% flat both sides on the turntable with no dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This disc has received just careful play on top quality equipment.
All tracks on both sides plays cleanly & clearly and without any trace of any background noise or groovewear distortion.
Even the easily & usually worn 'She's Leaving Home' & final piano fade both play cleanly & clearly without noise or intereference.
Both run-ins and all bands play silently & there are no clicks, jumps or any other audible faults.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A vibrant, unfaded front panel bearing a few light spine wrinkles & just a single, tiny 'thumbnail' creases near the front opening edge.
All corners are clean & square with no major bumps or bruises. Slight wear to the front & rear opening edges but no tears or feathering.
The rear panel is clean and glossy with again a few spine wrinkles & a single 'thumbnail' crease, but no further significant wear.
The inside of the gatefold is 'as new' and has no marks, writing, missing laminate or paper.
The spine is fully laminated and all the text is clear & readable.
All seams are unstressed & unsplit.
Poster: NEAR MINT
Factory folded with two other light creases but no tears, holes or missing sections.
