THE BEATLES - 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
This NEAR MINT 1st UK MONO pressing of their most iconic album dates from initial June 1967 release.
Both labels bear the 'Sold in UK....' text & 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd...' worded rims.
Matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1
Stamper codes: 4/RLG & 10/MAG
Vinyl weight: 148g
Housed in a fully laminated, inner-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with a 'regular' width spine.
Complete with its original red & white 'The Fool' designed inner-sleeve & unused cut-out sheet.

An outstanding clean & bright pair bearing just 3 or 4 light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Both playing surfaces are totally unmarked & MINT when viewed strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful and unforgiving halogen desk lamp fails to reveals anything more a sparkling rainbow shine and a few faint wispy inner-sleeve removal hairlines. Tough to find find a better preserved copy.
Sound Quality: MINT
This superb sounding copy has clearly only been played two or three times and I am happy to report that the sound quality is flawless throughout. My single careful play-check at volume detected absolutely no trace of any audible faults or wear to any track or in either channel. All of the usual wear points pass through with flying colours and will amaze you with their quality of reproduction. This wonderful example would not require upgrading.
Cover: NEAR MINT
The front panel is vivid & unfaded and retains a flawless, high-gloss front laminate - front & rear which bears no rubbing, 'thumbnail's or wear of any kind.
All corners are unbruised and unbumped with just the tiniest of shelfwear rubs to the lower lower two.
All opening edges are razor-sharp and completely unworn without even a single 'push' or traces of rubbing.
The inside of the gatefold is immaculate with no trace to any part - even the easily damaged flipover edges are unworn.
The spine is clean, straight & unworn with a full, unsplit laminate and clean, readable text. There is a small area of laminate lift along the lower edges of the front and rear panel but all seams of both pockets are smooth, unstressed and unsplit.
Inner-sleeve: NEAR MINT
Clean & flat with just a few soft creases and unavoidable light disc impression from storage, but no writing, tears or splits to any seam.
