This interesting & early UK 1st MONO pressing dates from June 1967 release on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PMC 7027
The side 1 label has an extra 'dot' between the words 'IN' and 'U.K.' in the 'Sold in U.K..' text on side 1.
A 'KT' purchase tax code is present in the centre of the side 1 label.
Matrices: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1
Stamper codes: 4/ATD & '01' symbol'/AOH
Vinyl weight: 141g
Housed in a fully laminated UK printed gatefold 'Patents Pending' mono cover.
Complete with original red/white inner-sleeve & unuse cut-out sheet.
CONDITION
Disc: EXCELLENT
This well looked-after disc has received a moderate amount of careful play but on quality equipment only. Both playing surfaces are clean & unworn with no noticeable blemishes or wear in strong daylight and only some harmless wispy paper-type hairlines beneath halogen light. Audibly the qulaity of the superior mono mix shines through and apart from a touch of vinyl background on 'She's Leaving Home' and on the final piano chord fadeout, there is little to fault and much to love.
Cover: EXCELLENT -
A vibrant, fully intact example of this iconic cover. The front panel retains all of its high-gloss finish with just a small bend towards the upper right corner but no 'thumbnail' wrinkles or other signficiant wear. Both panels inside are 'as new' with no wear to either flipover. The rear panel clean & bright but at certain angle the impression of each lead singer is visible beneath each song. Both seams are smooth & fully intact and the spine, although a little squashed, is clean & fully worded.
Inner-sleeve: VERY GOOD
Minor storage creases but no seam splits or writing.
