THE BEATLES - 'SGT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND'
1967 UK 1st *STEREO* PRESSING* LP
This superb 100% complete UK 1st STEREO pressing dates from initial release in June 1967 is on the yellow & black Parlophone label: PCS 7027
Both labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text & have 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd..' worded rims.
The 'KT' purchase tax code is visible around the side 1 centre hole.
Housed in a correct fully laminated, inner-flipback stereo gatefold cover with a regular width spine.
Complete with its red & white designer inner-sleeve & MINT/unused cut-out sheet.
Matrix numbers: YEX 637-1 & YEX 638-1

An extremely clean & bright pair with just a handful of faint spindle marks around each totally unworn centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Clean & bright playing surfaces which in strong daylight display just a handful of light surface marks but nothing deep, 'feelable' or indeed anything I would call a scratch. Close examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals numerous wispy inner-sleeve removal paper hairlines but again, no major blemishes. Both sides of this barely played copy lie 100% flat when playing.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This copy has received just some very careful play on good equipment and the sound throughout is clean & clear. My careful play-check at volume found no evidence of any groove/play wear distortion or background noise. In fact, apart from two ticks on the opening cock crow of 'Good Morning, Good Morning', there really is precious little to fault here.
Cover
EXCELLENT +
An extremely vibrant & well-preserved example of this iconic cover which retains a perfectly clean, undamaged & unscratched high-gloss front panel laminate with just a single 'thumbnail' wrinkle towards the front opening edge. There is minor storagewear to the corners but no heavy bumps or wear to any. There are a few small pushes to the opening edges but no tears or feathering to any. The inside of the gatefold is 'as new' with no wear or missing paper to flipbacks edge and has but has clearly been rarely opened. The rear panel is as vivid & vibrant as the front but with no 'thumbnails' or ringwear - just a handful of tiny spine bends. All seams of both pockets are unstressed & unsplit and the spine is clean, unworn and fully worded.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
Clean & bright but with some age-toning and a storage crease along the lower edge, but no writing, seam splits or tears anywhere.
