Disc
Labels: 1. EXCELLENT 2. EXCELLENT -
Both are clean & bright but there is slight rubbing around the side 2 centre hole but no wear to the hole itself. A sliver of the silver centre hole marks is still present around the side 1 hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Clean & bright playing surfaces which in strong daylight display are both free from any surface marks or scuffs. In fact the only visual blemish on the entire disc is a tiny, 2mm light scratch right any the end of the final track on side 2. Even close-up examination directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp reveals little more than a sparkling rainbow shine and some harmless wispy paper hairlines from inner-sleeve removal.
Play: EXCELLENT
This fine sounding copy has not been over-played or abused and the sound quality throughout remains clear and powerful, without any significant deterioration to the sound quality. My careful play-check picked up a touch of light background during 'She's Leaving Home' and a few light clicks on the final chord of 'A Day In The Life' due to the aforementioned mark, but no other audible distractions or wear.
Cover
EXCELLENT
An extremely clean, glossy & strong example of this iconic cover which retains a superb vibrant, unscratched and high-gloss front laminate with no 'thumbnails' or any other creasing or wear. All corners are free from any bumps or bruising and all opening edges are free from any significant signs of wear. The inside of the gatefold is immaculate and is without any wear or missing paper to flipback edges. The rear panel is also 'thumbnail-free' and bears just a hint of a disc impression from storage. The spine is fully worded but has some missing laminate towards the upper part only. All seams are smooth, unstressed & unsplit.
Inner-sleeve
EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with a hint of wear to the upper edge, but no discolouration, seam splits or tears anywhere.
