So here is a nice 1966 original Capitol 3rdstate Butcher mono Lp. This is an LA pressing peeled professionally and verified by Jim Hansenof Blue Jay Records in 1999. I purchased a partially peeled record that someone tried to do themselves.
Since this LP is largely collectible for the cover, I will go into the actual vinyl first. It would rate it as average to good. This is a good size scratch on one side that is going to give you a"pop" on payback but again these are not really about the vinyl. Other various scratches too that are fairly light. Sleeve is original with one partial seem split about to halfway on the side.
The cover is in good shape overall considering what is out there, how old it is in this price range. No tears, some stains on both front and back as seen in pics. Corners are in tack but have seen some wear as well as sides.
Ringo's left arm was touched up professionally very very well by Jim to hardly notice until up close. When hanging on the wall pretty unnoticeable from normal conversational distance. It was a glue spot.
This is a great record and copy of a letterexplaining the "Beatles Butcher Cover" story. This is great for the collector that wants a Butcher in a nice frame to complement their room, man cave, woman caveor any room. The letter is a copy. All sales are final so please look at pics well and ask any questions. Nobody will be disppointed with this collector piece.
