John Lennon & Yoko Ono - Unfinished Music No 2 - Life With The Lions - ZAPPLE 01
Here we have John and Yoko's Unfinished Music No 2 - Life With The Lions LP their second avant-garde experimental outing following their Two Virgins LP and the first release on the ZAPPLE label which sold less than 5,000 copies on release in May 1969.
This LP is a later 1st pressing as identified by the Matrices, Mothers and Stampers listed below - Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK ...' text which was removed as this album was being pressed and released in the UK during May 1969.
Side 1 features a live performance as recorded on 2nd March 1969 at Lady Mitchell Hall, Cambridge featuring John on guitar and Yoko on vocals.
Side 2 was recorded on a simple cassette recorder in Room No 1 Second West Ward, Queen Charlotte Hospital, Hammersmith and captures the sounds and experiences of Yoko's pregnancy and subsequent miscarriage - which includes the infamous track 'Two Minutes Silence'
Housed in a fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover with original plain inner sleeve,, original inner with text was discontinued shortly after release and therefore only came with the earliest pressings.
Spine is nice with text fully readable - usually prone to wear.

Vinyl is in in EX to Near Mint condition have recently played this prior to listing and the sound quality is Excellent to Near Mint - superb playback
Cover is in EX- condition for age all intact, no splits/tears minimal wear a few creases in place however no laminate lifts/bubbles etc
