Summary:
‘WITH THE BEATLES’ was the band’s Second UK album, released by EMI/Parlophone on 22 November 1963. It knocked The Beatles Debut album ‘Please Please Me’ off the top slot, and remained at the No 1 position for 21 weeks consecutively. This gave The Beatles a continuous run of 51 weeks at the summit!
BOTH the Original HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl LP and the Original Laminated Sleeve are in the FINEST INVESTMENT collecting condition. BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED this is an EXCEPTIONAL example and a FINAL UPGRADE to any PRISTINE Beatles collection.
Album Description/Condition
Released by EMI/Parlophone UK on 22 November 1963, this ORIGINAL MONO Vinyl LP is on the traditional BLACK AND YELLOW PARLOPHONE Label, with ‘The Parlophone Co Ltd’ label rim, ‘Recording First Published 1964’ and ‘Made in Gt Britain’ printed to both sides of the record labels.
Both record labels LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE HAD NO MORE THAN TWO PLAYS and are, without doubt, a tad short of mint. They are both OUTSTANDING - UNDAMAGED and UNFADED, they look NEW, with just one faint centre spider trail to either side.
Both sides of the HEAVYWEIGHT Vinyl disc too are just short of mint. STUNNING, GLOSSY, NEW looking Vinyl Surfaces. Difficult to fault this BARELY PLAYED album in any way. Looks as it would have done on its day of issue. Full Money back guarantee if not satisifed!
Side 1 matrix XEX 447-7N and Side 2: XEX 448-7N.
Side 1 stampers: 3/GMG and Side 2: 4/GRR.
The embossed ‘KT’ tax/price code is visible to the centre of the Side 1 record label.
Audio Quality:
As one would expect, with this VIRTUALLY UNPLAYED album, it plays just as GOOD AS IT LOOKS – The sound quality is AWESOME, with an extremely POWERFUL CLEAR, ORIGINAL MONO Sound.
The album comes in an ORIGINAL Lined Use ‘Emitex’ Printed Inner Bag which too is in SUPERB near mint condition. A VERY NICE example, with NO seam splits, NO tearing, NO handwriting, with just some extremely light inevitable creasing.
…And is housed in its ORIGINAL First issue LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse ‘Patents Pending’ sleeve, which is in the MOST EXCEPTIONAL CONDITION that we have offered in a very long while. Cover photography by Robert Freeman taken inside the Palace Court Hotel in Bournemouth.
The ULTRA GLOSSY Front Panel, with the exception of the mildest record impression, looks NEW – and we grade this near mint. The rear panel is STRONG, CLEAN, WHITE and also in near mint condition. All three flipbacks are UNDAMAGED, as is the printed text and track listing. The spine edge is PERFECT and UNDAMAGED and the printed wording ‘With The Beatles’ CLEAR as the day it was printed. All three edges of the sleeve are UNDAMAGED as is the FLAT opening edge. It even has the original price of ‘32/-‘ lightly handwritten in pencil only to the reverse of the sleeve next to the catalogue number (see last scan). Please note that this can easily be erased if required, but we chose not to disturb it. This sleeve is by far the BEST example we have seen in many years, BEAUTIFULLY PRESERVED and would NEVER require upgrading.
This STUNNING Vinyl LP together with its IMMACULATE Glossy Laminated Sleeve would be a FINAL UPGRADE to any serious TOP DRAWER Beatles collection.
