1968 UK 1st *MONO* PRESSING No. 0098269
**SUPERB 100% COMPLETE COPY**
This 1st UK MONO pressing is on the dark green Apple label: PMC 7067 & PMC 7068
All labels include the 'Sold in UK..' text but disc 1 omits the 'An EMI Recording' statement.
There is no tax/price is visible on either label.
Housed in a fully laminated, thick card, top-loading 'Garrod & Lofthouse' mono cover, numbered: No. 0098269
Complete with original die-cut matt-black inners, matt UK 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed poster, four colour photos & white paper photo spacer.
Matrix numbers: XEX 709-1, 710-1, 711-1, 712-1
Stamper numbers: 1/P, 1/O, 3/HP, 4/TH
Disc weights: 1. 140g 2. 146g
Just a few light spindle trails to each.
Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
Both surfaces are in remarkably clean and bright & retain their 'as new' deep gloss shines with no dulling or groove-whitening to either side.
Close inspection directly under a halogen desk lamp reveals just a few very light inner-sleeve removal hairlines on side 2 but further marks or wear.
Audio: EXCELLENT
This discs has clearly received just a few careful plays on good quality equipment and all tracks play without any significant or major signs of audible wear.
I have downgraded half a grade due to a few light ticks on the fade-out of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'.
However, there are no other significant or major audible faults.
Just a single light spindle mark to each label .
Visual: EXCELLENT PLUS
As with disc one, both sides are extremely bright & clean and bear no significant visual wear when veiwed in strong, direct daylight.
Again, apart form just a few light inner-sleeve removal marks there are no other traces of any futher visible wear anywhere.
Audio: EXCELLENT PLUS
This disc has received just one or two careful plays on top quality equipment and all tracks play 'as new' with no trace of any crackle, peak/groovewear distortion anywhere on any track.
Even the delicate 'Mother Nature's Son' & innermost tracks on each side play perfectly without any distortion or break up.
I have graded conservatively - you will not be disappointed.
Cover: EXCELLENT PLUS
A wonderful firm, flat & WHITE example constructed from 'thick' card with totally unscratched and undamaged front laminate which shines like new.
All corners are clean & square with just a minor bruise to the lower right but all the top-opening edges are in perfect untouched condition.
There are two small creases on the left inside flipback, but these are under the laminate and were clearly made at manufacture.
Otherwise, the inside is 'as new' and clearly not been opened in many years.
The spine is is clean, square and unsquashed and despite some laminate split to the middle, the wording remains fully covered, readable and undamaged.

Poster: MINT'As new' with no wear at all to any part.
Photo Spacer: EXCELLENTA few light creases.
Black inners: EXCELLENT & EXCELLENT PLUSBoth inners are clean & flat with just a few minor storage creases. There is a small 1cm tear to the centre of one but no splits or further wear to either.
