CONDITION
Disc 1
Labels: VERY GOOD +
Numerous spindle mark on each side.
Visual: VERY GOOD
Both sides are clean & bright with just a few minor scratches on side 1 - one of which is just feelable under my fingertips and measures 1cm. Some hairlines and inner-sleeve removal marks are revealed under halogen light but there are no further major faults to either side.
Audio: VERY GOOD -
This disc has been played many times and some light background is audible throughout both sides. The only major fault is a click which repeats for a short time at the end of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'. However, there are no jumps, repeats or any further major audible faults to either side.
Disc 2
Labels: EXCELLENT +
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean, glossy and bright and appearing unmarked in daylight. Apart from a single insignificant 1cm light fingernail mark towards the edge on side 3, there is nothing to fault visually on this barely played disc.
Audio: EXCELLENT
Unlike sides 1 & 2, this disc has seen very little play. All tracks play without any background, groovewear distortion. I have downgraded half a grade due to a single small jump on 'Honey Pie'. However, there are no further significant or major faults elsewhere.
Cover
EXCELLENT -
A respectable example which has remained clean and white with just light handling & storagewear but no major faults. There are 3 'thumbnail' creases towards the front opening edge but the lamianate around the raised 'The Beatles' wording is unsplit. There is a bruise to the upper right corner but no damage to any others. The inside of the gatefold is clean and undamaged as is the spine which is clearly and fully worded with an unsplit laminate. All seams are strong and unsplit and there is no writing or any other major faults anywhere.
Photos: MINT
Poster: EXCELLENT -
Light handlingwear but no pin-holes, tears or splits.
Inners: EXCELLENT -
A smal tear around one of the centre holes but no seam splits or missing paper.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & halogen light based upon UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I play every record I sell at volume on high-end audio equipment and list all visual and audible faults.
- Unless stated, all records lie 100% flat & play without distortion, jumps or sticks. All sleeves/covers have no writing, splits or tears.
- The listing photos have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
- All records are packed strongly & securely in custom-made record maling boxes with the disc removed from the cover. All text & images © Bright Field Music 2008
