Description

This is the original double UK white album, catalog number PMC 7067 and PMC 7068.

individually numbered 0019168. Matrix: XEX 709-1, XEX 710-1, XEX 711-1, XEX 712-2

I'm glad to offer here one of the earliest 300 copies ever pressed, as you can see by mothers & stampers:

SIDE ONE 1/G, 4/GM

SIDE TWO 1/G, 1/G

As for the condition, I would say everything here is in excellent condition; also the 2 black inners, often very worn, in this copy could easily grade as vg+/exc-

Both records are in superb, virtually flawless, playing and sounding condition.  All four labels are very clean and carry the an EMI recording text. The records will be shipped in protective bags outside of the cover, the original black inners separately inside of the cover.

Laminate is intact also on the spine, and the text on the spine itself is clearly readable.

A great and early copy.

Any question welcome

On 21-Nov-07 at 15:40:07 GMT, seller added the following information:

I've re-listened the whole LP on a highest quality equipment ( ProJect turntable, Denon cartridge, Rotel amplifier ), and I can confirm the Exc grade for the sides 1 & 2 ( I've never heard before a clearer and cleaner version of "Blackbird" for example ), but I could only grade sides 3 & 4 respectively Exc- - and Vg + due to some light tics on the second part of "Long, Long, Long", on "Honey Pie" and the very start of "Savoy Truffle", and the lighest tics on the last few seconds of "Goodnight".

As for the rarity of this copy, I would like to add that among all the copies of the White Album I've seen (dozens), I sometimes came across of some 1-G mother&stamper, but I've actually never seen 3 in one copy, and never I had seen a side 1 with the 1-G. That means that when you start listening "Back in the USSR", it could really be the first side ever pressed, anyway one of the first 300. It's fascinating.
