THE BEATLES - 'WITH THE BEATLES'

1969 UK **STEREO** PRESSING LP

*FINAL Y&B LABEL WITH 'SOLD IN UK..' TEXT*

The final incarnation of this iconic label was available for just a few months in late 1969 before the switch to the black and silver 'One EMI Box' design.
These late variants were noteable for the omission of the 'Sold in U.K...' label text which was removed from all EMI product from August 1969.

This excellent 1969 first stereo pressing on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3045
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims
Unusually the KT tax/price code is visibly stamped in the centre of the side 1 label.

Housed in a front laminated 'tri-flipback' Garrod & Lofthouse stereo cover with the 'small' stereo cover logo.
Complete with original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: YEX 110-2 & YEX 111-2
Stamper numbers: 4/MO & 2/MH

Labels: EXCELLENT MINUS

Visual: EXCELLENT

Very bright and clean surface which retain their deep gloss shine revealing just some light hairlines under a halogen desk lamp.
There are no deep/feelable marks or scratches anywhere and the disc lies 100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.

Audio: VERY GOOD PLUS

Bright and warm sound with just intermittant groovewear (most noticable on 'Please Mr Postman') but no major audible faults.
Some low level background/soft 'ticks' are audible between tracks and quiet passages but no heavy sounding marks, jumps or repeats.


Cover: VERY GOOD PLUS

Clean and unyellowed front panel with a few minor wrinkles and storagewear with a small (1.5cm) laminate tear to the lower edge.
The corners are opening edges are clean and unworn and the rear panel is very clean with no marks, writing or missing paper.
The spine is square, clean and undamaged with no missing laminate and all flipbacks and seams are strong, intact and unsplit.
