RARE TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION, FIRST ‘-1’ STAMPERS, ON BOTH SIDES **WITH** SOLD IN UK LABEL TEXT, AND WITH Mfd.in UK ON BOTH LABELS.
This Beatles album was released on the 17th January 1969, and was issued as the Soundtrack album for the cartoon film ‘Yellow Submarine’although it does not include some of the tracks that were featured in the film. Yellow Submarine spent just two weeks at the No 3 position, and at the same time The Beatles White Album was still sitting at No1 position in the UK album chart.
Album Description and Condition:
This album was purchased by the previous owner at the time of release and has kept it in this beautiful condition. The album is on the traditional Green & White Apple Label with the ‘Apple Records’ label rim, with ‘Mfd in UK’ and WITH ‘Sold in UK….’label text to both record labels.
Both record labels are in SUPERB Mint Minus condition, not one single centre spindle mark to be seen on side one, and just a faint sign of one on side two, a perfect set of AS NEW record labels.
Both sides of the GLEAMING Heavy Vinyl Disc are in Mint condition, beautiful NEW LOOKING Vinyl Surfaces, it is difficult to detect even a hairline.
Side 1 matrix: YEX 715-1 and Side 2 YEX 716-1.
Side 1 stampers: 24/RO and Side 2: 3/AH.
The album comes in it’s ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut inner bag which is in very nice Excellent Plus condition, there is just one small 1”seam split, and only mild creases.
The Vinyl LP is housed in it’s ORIGINAL, ULTRA GLOSSY, Front LAMINATED Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve, with two Horizontal RED lines either side of the sleeve notes on the reverse of the sleeve.
The sleeve is an IMPRESSIVE example in Excellent Plus condition. This is a particularly NICE sleeve throughout. The front panel still retains its DEEP GLOSS SHINE, with only the mildest record indentation. The reverse panel of the sleeve is very clean, showing only minor handling signs, and a small faded original price sticker on the top right corner (see scan), there are no corner bumps. All three flipbacks are UNDAMAGED. The spine edge too is UNDAMAGED and the wording to the spine edge is CLEARLY printed ‘The Beatles Yellow Submarine’, the top edge of the sleeve shows a small 1” rub mark.
The LP play’s as good as it looks, a beautiful clear faultless Stereo sound Quality, the best sound quality i have heard for a long time, there are NO skips, pops, or clicks.
