Available here is a very RARE item: a genuine, 2nd state Beatles BUTCHER COVER, from the LP "Yesterday and Today".
If you are reading this then you know about the scarcity of these album covers. The originally-released "Butcher Cover" was recalled after several thousand copies were released with the infamous photo of the Beatles in butcher smocks, holding pieces of raw meat and baby doll parts. The Beatles loved it, the public in 1966 was horrified, so Capitol, which had tens of thousands more LPs ready to hit the market, hastily slapped another photo (the "Steamer Trunk" photo) over the butcher cover and released them to the public.
This has created an opportunity for the enterprising fan to get one of these 2nd state covers and (with professional help) peel the steamer trunk photo off, to reveal the Beatles butchers in all their glory.

The cover is in solid shape all around, showing normal type wear for 50+ year-old cover - some ring wear on back and a little fraying around the edges. NO SEAM SPLITS. Ringo's black shirt can be seen clearly coming through to the right of the trunk, hard to capture in photo but clearly there.
