I did ll the homework and this is a true 'second state butcher cover' copy of the LP.
the RIAA and number 2 are in the lower rigt of the back cover, the LP is in better condition that the sleeve, which does have tears along the top and bottom edges.
####i just found this fact on a Beatles site....
The RIAA number located on the back of the cover is #
2. This makes this a rarer butcher cover as only the # 4 (Jacksonville plant) is rarer than this one!
the Ringo V-neck is not visible here. if you look at the last photo, it may be hard to tell but those are air bubbles that got under the between the slick before the glue dried, that mark to the left of Lennon's arm, is actually an air bubble about an inch long, so the v-neck could be hidden by the bubbles. You can see a darker, square image behind the slick. The slick was put on a little crooked and you can see what looks like glue from the old one at the lower left of the front cover.
i just added this note about what looks like eight staple holes in a tight group right above the Capitol symbol on front. if it does not show, just ask and i will take a pic. i cannot use the enlarge feature from this screen.
all the numbers match up and it seems the '2' on the back cover is what nails it. conditions of sleeve and jacket are based on what i have viewed on previous ebay-listed copies and is not an 'official' condition.
