The Beatles – A Hard Day’s Night – Genuine 1964 UK 1st pressing– the very earliest UK 1st pressing with chunky typeface labels and yellow & Black Parlophone rim labels, ‘Recording First Published…’ and with ‘Sold in UK’ and MT tax code. Catalogue number PMC 1230. Comes in its original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Dates to the original release date of July 10th 1964.
Only 3 or 4 plays in its 50 year history!
The record is the earliest 1st pressing with the broader and chunkier label typeface. ( For reference see page 168 ’The Beatles For Sale on Parlophone Record’s by Bruce Spizer & Frank Daniels)
A seminal album and one of their best - ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ was the first album where artist and composer wrote and performed all their songs.
Quality Beatles vinyl is a finite resource and is now becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.
Don’t miss out!
Happy Bidding and good luck!

CONDITION
Disc
Visual: MINT-
The disc appears MINT in strong daylight even under a halogen desklight nothing much more is revealed other than some ultra fine whispy sleeve removal marks. Incredible condition for this the earliest ‘Hard Day’s Night’ pressing.
Labels: MINT-
Just one or two light spindle trails. Side one carries the MT tax code.
Audio: MINT
As the visual appearance would suggest there is nothing to fault this audiophile copy of this Beatles classic. There is no audible surface noise and all gaps are silent. All the music signals are totally undistorted and unworn. The analogue resonance that can be heard on instances like the acoustic guitar on the track ‘And I love Her’ makes this album a joy to listen to. ‘Things We Said Today’ is awesome as are all the other classic tracks, such as ‘I Should Have known Better’ and the beautiful ‘If I Fell’. The audio will not disappoint.
Cover
EXCELLENT
The original Garrod & Lofthouse 1964 cover retains a beautiful high gloss laminate sheen. There are however some thumbnail creases towards the opening edge. The rear panel shows signs of natural ageing and slight discolouration. On very close inspection there is evidence that a small label has been removed from the top right hand corner, but this is barely noticeable. All flipbacks are in perfect condition as is the spine. Severely graded at excellent.
Inner-sleeve MINT-
Original 1964 inner.
