I can’t test-play vinyl at the minute, so with that said…
Released a full two years before George’s version on his 1973 LP, “Living in the Material World!”
John said that this version was what had inspired the arrangement for his 1971 “Happy Xmas (War is Over)” 45. He asked Phil Spector to recreate that sound for that single, and you can hear it.
By far, most Apple test pressings are the same configuration as the promos, meaning the same song on both sides in Mono/Stereo. This is the only test I’ve seen that includes the originally released B-side, “Tandoori Chicken,” most likely because there were no promos pressed.
Rare and Near Mint!
Sleeve: VG. Picture sleeve has NO SPLITS. But it does have some light dirtwear, moderate finger divots and wrinkles at the top edge.
Apple Sleeve: NM beautiful.

Vinyl: NM/ NM.
Labels: Excellent/ Excellent. With the exception of some very light dirtwear, the labels are still bright white. Fortunately as with most tests, nobody has written anything on either label, keeping them virgin. Both sides have Apple’s signature anti-slip serrations around the labels.
Plates: Z7/ Z7. Both dead waxes have identical markings to the Los Angeles pressing with the black star on the A-side label. 47505/ 47506. The “Bell Sound” insignia is present on both sides, as well as the asterisk, both machine-stamped. “sf,” Sam Feldman’s initials also appear on both sides. All four of those markings make this a genuine test. See photos.
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
Note: All 45’s ship outside of their sleeves in order not to damage the sleeve during shipment. Generic plain, white sleeves and Mylar provided.

(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
