Description
On offer is a very rare set of Beethoven's magnificent 10 violin Sonatas, performed by the great Jascha Heifetz. Truly astounding and perhaps never to be equaled. Here presented on 5 excellent mono LPs. All reccorded at RCA Victor Studios, Hollywood. accompanied by pianist Emaual Bay, with the exception of Sonata 9 "Kreutzer" which was recorded in Abby Road studios London, accompanied by pianist Benno Moiseiwitsch.

There is a 32 page booklet giving the hostories of the composer, artists and each sonata.
This rare set is an original issue, with the first RCA Victor LP mono label. See Photos. The Vinyl is near mint, no scuffs or scratches See Photos
The insert is in very good condition,and details the history the composer, the sonatas and performers.
The outer presentation case is in poor condition, with heavy shelf wear and taped repair. See photos. It is functional holding the contents securely but not visually pleasing.
It is being offered due to the historically significant reference performances and pristine condition of the discs themselves. This was issued in 1953 it is original, not a reissue.
The breath taking performances speak for themselves, Heifetz was hailed as the greatest violinist to have ever lived, and his accompanists Moiseiwitsch, and Bay were world class Beethoven interpreters in their own right,
There are no better performances of these beautiful works in my opinion. This set is of immense historical and musical value in my opinion.. . . .
