Description

I have had these sets since 1972 0r 73 honestly can't remember . The 9 Symphonies is an early 70s reissue The 5 Concertos plus the Fantasia for piano and orchestra is an early pressing . The Von Karajan set is one of the most iconic recordings of the Beethoven 9. Originally recorded in 1962 and is still the go to set for generations . The very first symphonic concert I ever witnessed was The Berlin Philharmonic with Herbert Von Karajan conducting at Carnegie Hall in 1971. The five Piano Concertos was recorded in 1968 with Otto Klemperer conducting and with a young Daniel Barenboim as the soloist. A  Beautiful set and great sonic quality as one would expect from Classic recordings in the 1960s As a bonus , included with this two classic sets is a DGG double LP of Ludwig Van Beethoven,s complete  Overtures Catalogue # 2707 046 It includes all the Leonore versions plus the Fidelio Overture. these discs are NM/M- as is the sleeve.
