Here's an odd one for sure. It's a Disco version of the Ben Hur theme song b/w another Disco song called "Spirits of Rome" Unlike most of the other acetates we have ending tonight, this one is from the US. We have another mix of the Disco Ben Hur. I have no idea who the band is, this may be the only copy in the world for all I know.
You can hear it and the pics are pretty good. It's strong VG+
This is from the personal collection of Ken Laws. He was a producer for Spark Records among others and played drums with Strawbs spin off Hudson Ford who were also the main guys in Velvet Opera. He was in the middle of the UK music scene for decades. Pretty much every record from this collection of UK imports look unplayed. He moved to Atlanta GA at some point and we acquired his collection. There are quite a few Strawbs/Velvet Opera related acetates, some we don't know what they are but you can listen to each one. There is Psych, Brit Pop and a couple of oddball Disco tunes.
