Description

An original 1st issue of LIB on UK Apple from when the album was still charting. Matrix 2/3 [you can find a 2/2]. Please note On side 1 label the '1' of track one can be found directly below the I&D of 'Side 1'. It sounds crazy - but this is precisely the design layout of the earliest 1st copies. Well worth going for the early copies as they were pressed heavier and the audio reproduction is superb. The vinyl comes housed in an early cover with the Apple logo removed and replaced by a Parlophone/Emi logo. These copies were destined for export abroad where Parlophone had current licencing agreements in place - and Apple were still working on it. We have a generic white inner from the time.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few light marks per side - nothing troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. In my experience LIB is an incredibly fussy record - one of the fussiest by the Beatles.  'Let It Be' and 'Winding Road' are hard to find playing clean even on good looking copies. But this copy is delivering a really nice clean rendition on these two. Expect nothing more than a few errant crackles in one brief moment per side. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex-) In great condition and the aesthetic of that front image - has been largely preserved. Nice deep blacks which have not faded - just a couple of light creases front and back. Edge wear is light and the openings are still nice and firm. The spine is 100% intact with all text legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.  Very nice indeed.
Inner (Vg) A bit aged but no splits.
