Description

An original 1st issue on UK Apple from the charting period. The Red Apple copies were clearly the earliest - with a matrix as low as 2/2. But soon after 3/3 copies arrived and they are essentially the same period just fractionally later... Lovely heavy-set EMI pressing - enabling the near-master copy to really shine on your deck. Please note label design and formatting of text is exactly in keeping with the earliest copies possible - wider body. The '1' at the front of Two of Us - sits below and between the I&D of Side. Sounds crazy - but this is the very 1st label format. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover - Thin spine and pinched.. THE EXPORT version. Well worth going for these early copies - they will sound GREAT...and you can't get much closer to the master without it getting expensive¬!
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple slight marks, one very uber superficial trail - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an at least EXCELLENT level of playback with one slight deviation per side. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. A clean player throughout - not much background really. Fantastic depth in the mix. Unfortunately many copies just will not manage that. Hardly any background. The only vague thing I picked up was a bit of light presence briefly IN ONE of the fussier tracks per side. Nothing unpalatable or ypfront I am just mentioning in case you uber sensitive to that sort of thing.  A truly well preserved original and hard to find 1st Issue.  Really nice.
Cover (Ex) Very smart shiny surfaces with a couple of tiny stress creases...Not much edge wear and sharp openings. Text fully legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Superb!
