I will audition each Berliner I sell, and give my observations in each auction. Because of varying, non-standardized manufacturing conditions, the records vary as greatly as snow flakes. I will do my best to write a complete assessment for each. I playback with a 3.0 mil sapphire stylus. Varying the stylus size can yield better playback results.

Berliner 1935, The Way To KISS A Girl, Sung by J.W. Myers. Disc has light little surface marks, but plays back like a V+, every little syllable can he heard. One of my favorite songs.......makes me think of the May Irwin / John Rice smooch from the 1896 movie “The Kiss.” Piano comes through VERY well. I first heard this song on a CD produced by the City of London Gramophone Society, and have been in love with it since. I think you will too.

I audition all records COMPLETELY (and several times!) on a modern turntable with a lightweight sapphire stylus. RECORDS WILL BE PACKED PROPERLY WITH NEW PACKING MATERIALS between several sheets of cardboard, surrounded by packing peanuts, in a sturdy box.
