Description
This is an original Bessie Smith 78 rpm recoring of "Careless Love Blues" on the Columbia record label. It was released in 1925. The B-Side is "He's Gone Blues". Also playing on this record are, Louis Armstrong (Coronet) and Fletcher Henderson (piano). The record is in excellent condition with some light wear, a couple scuffs, excellent sound quality, plays near perfectly, some very light noise, clear and strong, (E). The labels are in excellent condition, Sticker on He's Gone side (The Melody Shop Guy S Brown & Son Bellingham Wash.). Trail off matrix numbers are: 140626 1-D-5 and 140717 3-C-4
My record grading system is as follows
- E+ As close to perfect as you can expect
- E Near perfect with some very light flaws, next to no surface noise
- VG+ Some wear, light surface noise, very good sound quality
- VG A worn record that is still pleasant to listen to
- G A poor quality record that is only offered because it is super rare and desirable
