Mrs. Fred M. Neill, choirmaster of High- land Heights Methodist Church, Memphis, and holder of a certificate of choirmaster from the American Guild of Organists, di- rects the 30-voice choir. These are talented —dedicated young people whose sincerity is felt as they sing praises to the Lord. Mrs. Neill's youth choir presented four formal concerts in 1960-61, singing Britten's "A Ceremony of Carols", in Spanish, Latin and Chaucerian English with harp accompani- ment. You'll want to listen—and it's pleasant listening—as Bette sings with the chorus of eight. This octet is composed of rich, mature voices displaying excellent contrast to the selections with the youth choir. The brilliant choral and instrument ar- rangements so beautifully executed in this album are attributed to the genius of Mr. David Tyson, Staff Arranger of Music Master Recordings.
