Description

This is Blue Note Records BST 84192, John Patton Oh Baby, a blue and white New York USA label, original stereo issue of this classic record with Van Gelder and the ear (p) mark stamped in the dead wax. The record has a small divot at the beginning of the third track on side one which causes 7 clicks. Otherwise the record looks near mint and plays quietly. This is a nice sounding copy featuring classic Rudy Van Gelder sound, but, with the divot, I don't know how to translate it into a letter grade. The cover, with it's 43 West 61st St., New York 23 address, has a bit of edge wear on the upper left corner but is excellent and intact. The white stain visible on the cover has been removed. The labels are excellent but show light spindle marks.  The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. I feel this is still an excellent collector's grade copy of this beautiful original Blue Note with all the proper markings evident.
