Description

One of an outstanding reviewers collection of Classical early stereo and test pressing rarities we have just had in, all nice clean originals, many played just the once. 1st anywhere type issue Big Stereo lettering flip back sleeve of Nathan Milstein in the Mendelssohn & Bruch Violin Concerti CAPITOL SP 8518 Leon Barzin conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra. UK ED 1 issue. Superb accounts from the master, such a glorious tone. A violinist friend whose playing I love to hear told me his favourite player of all time was Milstein.

This is absolutely pristine unmarked near mint surfaces and labels in a clean Near Mint sleeve with the original EMI inner. A clean original as here is unlikely to be bettered by any audiophile issues as this was mastered on a valve powered lathe from the then brand new tapes, which by now will be deteriorated.
