Billy Holiday with Teddy Wilson Orchestra "Twenty Four Hours A Day" and "Yankee Doodle Never Went to Town" Recorded October 25, 1935, Orchestra included Roy Eldridge, `Benny Morton, .Chu Berry, Teddy Wilson, Dave Barbour, John Kirby, Cozy Cole. Record is in E/E- condition. Billie was the premiere song stylist of the jazz/ swing era in the 1930s-40s-50s. She recorded under her own name and with bands as varied as Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Paul Whiteman, Count Basie, Teddy Wilson, etc.She set the style for jazz singing- an influence still felt today, and was influenced herself by the great Louis Armstrong Please see photos.
