Description
Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.
This is an auction for: Black Sabbath - Paranoid – Vinyl LP album 1970.
UK pressing from 1970.
Large Vertigo Swirl.
Does NOT have the management credits inside the sleeve.
1Y, 2Y Matrix
Vinyl Condition: G/VG (Record has had a fair number of plays over the years but is well preserved for its age and is still in good condiiton. There are a lot of light sleeve lines but nothing nasty. The record plays well with good sound. There is some crackle, more so at the start of each side but clears up. There is the odd click/pop but no sticks or jumps. Some spindle wear but overall nice labels).
Inner Sleeve Condition: Fair (Vertigo inner sleeve is complete but has lost the polylining from inside. Also the back side has some large rips/tears which have some old cellotape repairs. Left seam has a large approx 10cm split. Some age related browning. Overall inner sleeve is showing its age but at least its complete).
Outer Sleeve Condition: G (Original matt gatefold sleeve has the usual rubbing on the front and back. Unfortunately there is a sticker removal surface tear to the top right corner which has been touched up with black pen at some point. The top and bottom edges and the right opening edge has been touched up with black pen at some point to which is a shame. It is not overly noticeable but it is there. The top and bottom of the spine have also been touched up with pen. This is more noticeable but has not covered any text or anything. There is wear to the spine but text is still readable. Inside the gatefold is in nice condition. Overall the sleeve has some wear, rubbing and some touch ups in black pen in places but for its age it is pretty decent).
I grade my vinyl’s as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
