Description
Black Sabbath – Paranoid.
12 inch vinyl album.
Very early pressing. Large VERTIGO swirl label. SUPERB!
SLEEVE: EX/EX+.
Original matt gatefold sleeve. No marks. Perfectly secure flipbacks. This is the version WITHOUT the credits mentioning ''Management / Jim Simpson, Big Bear, Birmingham''. Other credits include: ‘Recorded at Regent Sound and Island Studios’ and ‘All compositions published by Essex Music Int. Ltd.’
VINYL: EX+.
In beautiful condition. Has been stored and unplayed for decades. No marks or blemishes other than some VERY fine lines probably caused when the record has been taken out of the inner sleeve (and which are only noticeable under a bright light). Still retains its original sheen. Perfectly flat. Test play revealed no skips, sticks or clicks. Deep full clean sound. Clearly been played only a handful of times. Sound quality throughout is free from any traces of distortion.
Matrix /Runout (A-side runout stamped):
63600111Y//1?420 1 2 4
Matrix /Runout (B-side runout stamped):
63600112Y//1?420 1 1 4 (?)
I cannot find these matrix numbers listed ANYWHERE, even on Discogs.
There is no break in between the tracks "Hand of Doom" and "Rat Salad"- i.e. it looks as though there are only three tracks on the B side of the record when there are actually four.
Extremely rare, especially in this condition!
LABELS: M-/M:
Perfectly clean with no writing or stickers. ‘VERTIGO' is positioned at 6 o'clock underneath the LP title, band name and producer credits. ‘Produced by Roger Bain for Tony Hall Enterprises’ is printed in one line on label.
INNER SLEEVE: EX+.
Original Vertigo poly-lined inner sleeve. A little browning along the sleeve opening but no creases (see photo).
Catalogue number 6360 011 appears on B-side label, spine and rear of sleeve above VO PRICE CODE.
Great album, really hard to find in such fantastic condition, and extremely collectable!
