LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: VERTIGO VO6360071 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1972 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG/VG+. Vinyl is clean with a decent sheen and a some light surface lines. Played both sides of this in its entirety today on my Pro-ject Deck at a decent volume. Sits flat on the turntable. Sounds better than very good and must be very near EX. Clear and loud with great seperation. Has the occasional tick but music remains loud, powerful and prominent throughout. Its an awesome sound, louder the better. Cover retains great shape, it is firm and square and has only light edgewear ,light to moderate cornerwear and less than light creasing. Has a very small pen doodle on rear cover. White inner is nice and clean with light wear only. No rips, stickers or sticker tears. Very clean labels. All in all a complete, nice playing UK 1st pressing of a classic Sabbath LP..... Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of surface sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades.
