Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath, 1970 Rare UK Original Vertigo Swirl VO 6 Genuine Earliest First Press  with Philips Record Product on the lable and different text on the inside gatefold sleeve.

     Catalouge number:  Vertigo VO 6
This has the following first press matrix numbers: Side 1:  VO 6  1 Y * 1   420  12  5
Side 2:  VO 6  2 Y * 1   420  12  6

Vinyl     VG++  Under bright light a lot of hairlines, scuffs and scratches were visible. But fortunately they are not very deep and do not have significant impacts on the sound quality. I have played the record from the beginning to the end and it sounds very worthy without  background noise with light crackle and occasional random click. There are slight repetitive clicks at " Sleeping Village" which can be heard practically only in a quiet part of the track.  And of course there are no sticks no jump. Perhaps it is all. And please do not forget about simply stunning powerful and clear sound of original recording. The vibrancy, seperation and clarity of the first press is realy great through out. Nice copy.

Labels  VG+/EX  Clean. Without damage, stickers etc. Light mark at the side 2 (please see photo).

Sleeve  VG+   Original genuine first press matt  finish gatefold sleeve in quite decent condition with no damage, writing, splits, tears or stickers etc. with moderate edge and corner wear (please see photo).

Spine   VG+  (please see photo).

Inner sleeve  VG+  Plain white.

Rare genuine earliest first press of a great album with very enjoyable  expressive sounding.

Grading System: In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradins  where applicable.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
