Original extremely rare OKEH 78 , featuring the incomparable Blind Boy Fuller performing 'Careless Love' on Side A and 'I'm Goin' To Move'' on Side B.
I find the history of Blind Fuller releases confusing so had no idea exactly when this was issued, I know it was issued on different labels in 1937 , I think the OKEH release was 1940 but I can't find anything right now to back it up....
I've had this for a number of years hung on the wall in a box frame .. I have never attempted to play it, the recordings are readily available and like people doing stunts in old Spitfires and crashing them, it seems a travesty in my opinion to play them and wear them out further .. so I am not going to attempt to grade it as collectors do... .
Needless to say, as a 75+ year old record this is not pristine (!) ... the pictures were taken in good light and represent it faithfully.
When bought it was mounted in a box frame, I discarded this after a period with the intention of replacing the frame but never got round to it.. when I removed the record there were some residue from the sticky-backed patches on side B that had held it in place. These are visible on the photo...
For a fan of pre-war blues it was amazing to have this on the wall along with some others ( see my other auctions ).
These records are rare and fragile so am not willing to risk posting it, so personal collection only although I would be happy to travel to cut down on anybody's travel time by meeting part way - within reasonable distance ( 50 miles ) for free.
I would prefer cash on collection or bank transfer rather than PayPal if possible...
