Up for sale is an incredibly well-preserved, time-capsule copy of Blue Öyster Cult’s fifth studio album, Spectres, featuring the hit track "Godzilla". This is an authentic 1977 US first pressing, sourced directly from the original purchaser. If you are looking for an archive-quality upgrade for your collection, this is it.
Condition Breakdown:
The Vinyl (NM): Flawless, mirror-like gloss with deep luster. It has been strictly and carefully played only two times since its original purchase in 1977.
The Cover Jacket (NM): Crisp, sharp corners, and completely vibrant colors. It has been protected by its original factory shrink wrap for nearly 50 years.
Vintage Provenance: The shrink wrap features two original retail price tags in the top right-hand corner—one showing the department store's sale price and the other displaying its advertised price. A fantastic piece of music retail history!
Inner Sleeve (EX): Includes the original black printed lyric inner liner. It remains clean and crisp, showing only the typical minor seam splits common to these fragile paper sleeves. No other inserts or merch sheets are included.
